hi

i have captured some 720x576 video, and now want to edit it in
moviemaker.
the original video is quite impressive quality. the original came from
dv tape at 30fps.
wmm captured at file at 29000kbps and 25fps. so i've lost 5fps before
i start
editing.

1. how can i ensure that the video file will by 30fps not 25.
2. after editing i want to save the edited version as close as
possible to the
quality of the original. but the options i hvae available are 720x480
or 640x480 and
both produce very degraded versons.

anyone help

thanks

mike

you're not using a standard size, so a custom profile may be needed... see
my website's Saving Movies > Custom WMV Profiles page.

I downloaded a 960x720.prx from papajohn (thanks papa).
I now use it as a base to load into a text editor and replace the 960 and
720 with other resolutions and save it, restart MM and select the new file.

Works great!

Cheers Mike...
