Hi there,
It sounds like you're trying to save an MM2 "project",
which is just the "instructions" as to how to create the
movie from your raw video -- you must "render" the movie
in the create function, i.e., "execute" the instructions
in the project file against the raw video file to create
a viewable movie (.mpg file).

product without the ability to play the movies on any
other software? Any insigt here would be great.

I am brand spank'n new to Movie Maker so this may be a
that others without Movie Maker can see it.I am trying to save the *.mswmm file as ANYTHING else so
in Media Player, Real One and QuickTime and none of themI tried the "save as" to no avail. I tried to open it
