Saving movies to cd using movie maker 1

Hello,
I have the Windows Me operating system and have only Windows Movie
Maker, not Movie Maker 2. Is it possible to transfer my movies to CD using
M.M. 1? I noticed that one can do this with M.M.2. I also read that I need
Windows XP to download M.M.2. If there is a way to transfer my movies to CD
with M.M. 1, can you tell me how to do it?

Save them to your hard drive as WMV files and copy them to a disc.... the
same you would do with MM2.

But they will only play on computers, not on stand-alone DVD players/TVs.
