When I attempt to save project to CD/DVD I get the message "A recordable CD
drive was not detected." I see someone else has asked this same question,
but I can't figure how to proceed from the response. I have a P4-3.0 MhZ, 3G
memory, an internal DVD drive and external CD drive, windows XP Home SP2. I
have saved projects to DVD before using MM so I can't figure what has
happened. I have Cyberlink Power2GO and Adobe Elements 3 installed.

You have never saved to a DVD using WMM under Windows XP Home Edition.

Only the Media Center version of WinXP has the DVD save option in Movie Maker.

Your best best would be to purchase some DVD Authoring software.
Some possibles are Nero, Roxio, WinDVD, ProShow Gold, ULead.

You are absolutely correct. My mind finally clicked in and I recalled that I created the project using MM and burned the DVD using ROXIO MyDVD. I successfully burned a DVD using Adobe Elements 4.0 this time. Thanks for your response.

Good to hear you got it done.

Thanks for the feedback and Happy New Year to all who may read this.
