Ahhh was THAT wonderful or WhAT???? My remaining questions answered after
having my own 96 slide show en process.... and unable to show it anywhere
except on Der Komputer.....in spite of all the MVP's.
SO
My questions re the prior fine Tutorial...
A. How does one get rid of or clear his Collection area of the garbage
colledtion(s) one he/she has finished their movie?
B. You used PAL as a modifier to your saving, I believe we in the USA use
NTCS as same?????
C. That fine name DV-AVI is WHAT??? In spite of another MVP tellling us
what a file extension is, this is NOT an official extension. I find nothing
NADA that recognizes it. Tried in my 'fine' NERO, no luck. Is the problem
my NERO is a couplea years old??? I sure dont know.....
D. I have exceeded my benchmark years on this planet of three score and
ten. My goal is to finish a workable useable show for my heirs and yet to be
born kin, in an attempt to give them a picture of their past heritage and
perhaps WHY some of them do what they do....
Based on the literally dozens of wee glitches in information per the above
it appears I may never have this show finished in spite of two years work.
E. If it were simply presented as a series of photos, slides, scanned old
photos, and the necessary large text format explanations before each picture,
I would have been done 18 months ago.
F. All this is alongside the Pie-in-the-sky conception that many have in
the AV and Computer world that all this technology will simply meld together,
thanks to their wisdom and technical ability. Its the same glitches that
appear with all this WMM AVI DV circus that will keep it from happening
unless everyone ditches ALL their analog machines and material......
PLEASE, details are useless when they are stored in ones head, except to
that person, and brevity here continues to lead to thousands of hours lost by
those souls attempting to use this process to put their visuals and music
onto their telly.
L. Computer expertise? First computer VIC20, saved its data on cassette
tapes. First Apple machine was a IIe clone whose name I forget. First IBM
format computer was an Arche Rival for $2400 US, what, a 300SX or such with
maybe 64meg ram? and a 2.4 modem. And green screen. And PC tools, an
extra, which I returned and told them it stood for Pretty Confusing....
First computer job was teaching architectural working drawings to 2nd year
students having had their cad basics. ("Save often". and on and
on...........................but it dont solve the current confabulation that
quite a few are experiencing.
