Saving images.

Everytime I wanna save a .gif from the internet it saves it as a .bmp and thats the only option it gives me. Why? And how do I change it to .gif or .jpg??
 
Keep in mind I already did a Disk Cleanup....either that or I did it wrong but....Help please.

When the cache is full, you lose file format options for images and get
stuck with bitmap only. Empty the browser's cache: Internet Options>
General> Temporary Internet Files> Delete Files. As long as you're in here,
you may want to click Settings and reduce the maximum allowed size for the
cache. 100-200 MB is more than sufficient for most browsing. Some folks set
this as low as 20MB.

Also... if using AOL, turn off compressed graphics in that program's
Preferences menu.
