saving image files

If you edit the image you ofcourse have to save it.

Regards Jens Peter Karlsen. Microsoft MVP - Frontpage.

Assuming for example, that you had imported a bunch of images into an
images folder (or anywhere) on your website, and have linked to them
from various pages, and then you decide to edit an image: Then you do
the editing of the image on your computer using your graphics program,
re-import the edited image into FP replacing the old with the new, and
you are done.

Whatever else you do using those images on pages of your website, just
save those pages and republish the website. You dont have to worry
about re-saving the images.

And be sure not to let FP touch your images ... even though it is possible
to further crop etc. Prepare and optimize your images carefully outside of
FP and then IMPORT them into your site files before using them on your
pages.

The easiest way is to register your outside image editor with FP as default
editor for .jpg .gif, .png , then when you edit an image from within FP you
don't have to worry about re-importing and all that.
