Saving group policy settings

Hi,

I've been trying to copy the policy settings of 'Computer Configuration' and
'User Configuration' but failed. I have this problem mainly on XP because we
are replacing our OS, but it is the same on windows 2000 i guess. I couldn't
get any response from the XP groups.

I thought that saving the 'mmc' file would save those settings with it, but
it doesn't; it just saves the interface perferences. I searched for *.sdb
files and got a lot of results, but if I am correct they don't include what
I am looking for in them.

I am also interested in printing them.

download the GPMC from Microsoft. It is free and you can export GPOs.

Thanks. Although there product isn't really what I was looking for, I found
the answer on their website. I copied the Group policy folder as it is from
%windir%\system32 from a previously configured computer and it works
beautifully.
