Saving .gifs from internet not working - once did....

When right clicking on a image, the only option given to
save is bitmap. It used to allow jpeg of gif, but I can't
figure out why it doesn't now. I assume a program changed
the saving format, but I can't locate which program may
have done it. This is on a computer using XP Home and
IE6.

Any help would be appreciated.
