saving formula result automatically............

I have info in a workbook which i want to referenced in anothe
workbook,
I used INDIRECT("'[" & A1 & ".xls]report'!a1");with A1 being the nam
of the workbook ,to get the the info...... the problem is this onl
works when the workbook is open. when u close the the other workboo
the result goes back to #REF.
is there someway i can save that result automatically in a differen
cell or something without having to deal with that 'hated' #REF whe
the other workbook is closed?
