Hi, new to Windows Movie Maker and just finished putting together my first
movie. Very easy program to use and it came out great, it uploaded to
YouTube fine and is viewable. However, when I save it to my computer I
cannot view it with either Windows Media or Quicktime. QT doesn't recognize
a wmm file (I think that was the ext) and in WMedia it shows up like a
psychedelic Peter Max movie. I have tried to play with saving it it
different formats to no avail. Help please as I need to burn it to a disc
and mail it. Is there a way to save it in a different format so people can
view it on either media player? Thanks in advance.

Maybe you saved the movie via File>Save Project, the resulting file extension
is .MSWMM. I you wish to save the movie to the computer, on the left pane
under Movie Task > 3. Finish Movie click on “Save to my computerâ€. The
resulting file extension should be .wmv . It should play on windows Media
Player.
