Fwiw;

I just tried this on youtube...only one swf file showing in source
and...it's garbled somehow. That is, the "filename" in the source isn't
mapping anything I can save.

Youtube has a player and through that player it loads another flash movie
file in another "layer".. this is done to avoid people from doing what you
want to do..

To really understand how this works you have to know Macromedia (now adobe)
flash....

however as mentioned before you can use this site
http://keepvid.com/

it will save the file to your drive then (you may have to rename the
extension to FLV), and use a FLV player to play it...

If you already have VLC it can play FLV not very well (no seek bar and it
doesnt work will all encoding settings)

but I would suggest you use this player that is the best I have found up to
date:

http://www.wimpyplayer.com/products/wimpy_standalone_flv_player.html

Free of course

Thanks guys/gals-will let you know what works

though I saved the picture I wnated)and will not allow me to get to the
pictures ?I tried contacting the web site to actually(god-forbid) pay
for them-but i have not had an answer-all help greatly appreciated.

can you tell me what this site is you are trying to see?

I have made many sites utilizing flash and I know how they work.
I suspect the reason why you cannot view the images you want, but
if you send me the url I can explain or perhaps find a solution to this

Thanks dude- heres the URL www.mistercartoon.com
I can print the page off no problem- but when you view the gallery they
dont get printed- just the same "outside" frame.
Much indebt to you if you can get the pics.
