saving file for DVD use

I am only able to save as a mmv file and i want to save my movie to a dvd but
i can't change the file type. Can someone tell me how to do this, i am very
frustrated!
 
When you save the movie, choose the Other settings, then in the drop down
list pick DV-AVI.

Then you need to use DVD creation software as Movie Maker can't burn a DVD.

Hello there,

You should be able to click FILE > SAVE MOVIE FILE and when asked what format
click on "SHOW MORE OPTIONS" and then select DV-AVI

Hello. I tried what you said and it doesn't give me a "show more options" it
simply gives me the options of computer, cd, e-mail, dv camera, and the web.
=[ please help me.
 
File / Save Movie File / My Computer / Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location / Next /
Show More Choices / Other Settings / open
the drop window and choose...DV-AVI / Next /
wait while the movie is saved / Finish.

You will get the "show more options" option AFTER you click "Save to
computer"
