Saving Embedded objects

When I go to save the document that contains an embedded
object an error message appears saying "Document not
saved". The Knowledge base says this is due to the fact
that the template contains an embedded object and to work
around it you must delete the embedded object. how do I
save the document with the embedded object in it?
...

If you mean KB article 121942, then it'd appear that you have to remove (delete)
the embedded object before you can save the rest of your work.

Something to try. For each worksheet that contains embedded objects, try
creating copies of those worksheets as different files. Right-click on the
worksheet tab, select 'Move or Copy...', choose (new workbook) in the 'To book'
drop-down list, check the 'Create a copy' box, then click OK. Whether or not
that works, delete the embedded objects from your original workbook, then save
it. Once saved, copy the embedded objects in the worksheet copies you'd made,
and paste them back into the now-saved workbook, then try saving again.

If that doesn't work, I'm at a loss to figure out any other alternative.
