Hi,

Could someone please tell me how (if its possible) to save
emails from Outlook2000 inbox to a location on the
harddrive with the actual 'date received' in the details.

Currently, if I save an email (say drag it to the desktop)
it will save with today's date in the file details (date
created/modified) instead of with the date I actually
received the email.

I want to be able to sort my saved/archived emails using
WindowsExplorer by the date I recieved the emails, and not
by the date they were saved.

I know I could just create a folder within outlook to do
the above - but I really want it to be independant of it.

Hope the above makes sense.

Thanks

Alex

You can't. As the date detail in Explorer is a modified/created date of the
file.
