I would like to save a dvd to my computer. so that I can copy it to a cd-r. I
have a write only for a cd not a dvd

A DVD usually holds about 6 times more stuff than a CD. Are you really going
to figure out how to split things to make a copy?

somehow i was able to copy it thru roxio. this is a mini cd that only had 720
mb. so it did split it onto 2 disks. so now i am having trouble playing them.
it doesn't open auto. i have to go to my comp. and open thru there. i know it
is not doing it correctly. is there a disk that would hold 800mb?

You will have to go to Best Buy, Circuit City, etc to see if there are blank
discs that will meet your size requirements.

The DVD only has 30 min on it why do I still need 2 CD discs to copy the DVD

judy you need to rip your dvd with a divx software application and resize it,
then you can burn it as vcd with your roxio. Depending on your version.

what is a divx type program and is that expensive. also what is vcd mean.

Video, TV, DV, Cam or downloaded movie clips like DivX, MOV, RM, WMV....

i have logged in the site of videohelp.com and then google and i found a site
that sells a software for converting dvd to cd. I need to download. My other
problem is that I made a copy of the dvd thru Roxio to a cd and it needed two
cd's. I tried to open and got message retrieve. I went thru the process,
however, it still says retrieve when i put in the first or 3nd cd.
