Saving Deleted Mail in Outlook

Since Microsoft deletes all Deleted mail daily, How can I set outlook to to
save my deleted mail on my PC in the deleted items folder after I delete it.

Hi LFH,

so you use the auto archive function or rules to delete you mails?
If so please deactivate them! so the deleted items will be store in you DI
Folder
 
Sorry, your suggested fix did not work. All archiving is off. The problem as
I see it is that since Microsoft deletes all mail in the Deleted folder on a
nightly basis ( I know this as it seems to be a relatively bew policy for
them)that when I go to retrieve my mail through outlook (HTTP connection) and
it syncs with Microsofts servers my deleted mail is cleared out. ( Note My In
Box and other folders are not affeected).

Andreas, assumng that it is as I say is there anyway that I can set my
microsoft office outlook to save my mail that I delete on my local PC.
Meaning that when I hit the delete button that in addition to doing what it
is doing also put a copy of the mail in another folder that whould be
resident on my PC...maybe immediately archiving it?

What do you think?
