I feel as if I’ve been here before, yet I cannot remember the move necessary
to save settings/view. After making changes to my browser, I lose those
settings when I close IE. When I reopen IE it opens without the
new/different settings/view I had made, and it was closed with.
Thank you, Dave

Can you be more specific about what settings are not being saved?

Don,
First, thank you, for your time. I have experienced this issue before, I
don't know what worked previously other than several attempts, one finally
working, luck?? I do have an HP, so the tool/HP fix sounded like the
trick. After downloading, run/install, the tool, a window stated “I
already had that update installedâ€. I don’t remember installing that
tool/fix.
Anyway, what worked was another fix at
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/autotkit.htm. The, “option to reset the
Toolbar position in the registry using this REG file.†That did the trick.
Again, thank you Don.

R, Dave

Hi,
After making changes, go to View> Toolbars> Lock the Toolbars.

If settings still don't stick, see http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFAQ.htm >>>
