This question goes along with an earlier question about organizing clips. Can
I backup my clips to a CD? If I lose the clip stored on the harddrive I will
receive a big red X when trying to access it but how to I then point MM to
the backup clip on the CD? To back up the clip do I only have to copy the
clip file or is it made of individual files like a project?

yes, you can back up the source files on CDs. If you later have a red X, you
can point Movie Maker to the file on the CD, or copy it from the disc to
your hard drive and point to that copy.

as for what to backup... you can do the source files, collection database
file, project files, and saved movies... the Managing section of my website
gets into the subject of backups for each

Thanks. I went out there last week but was only looking at the "Source Files"
section. I forgot about the others.
