Saving clips automatically

Hello:

I am very new to Camcorders and Windows Movie Maker.

I have been able to import my video into the computer. The Project is
showing all the clips (with the dates on them). I would like to save all the
clips separetly. Is there a way for the Movie Maker to save these clips
separately with the time stamp?

Currently I have to make a new movie for each clip and save it individually
(after going through multiple screens). This is very time consuming. These
clips are not really one movie, just a collection of different videos I
captured during my vacation. I want to create different directories for
different days of the vacation. Hence the need to store separetly with the
time stamps.

Can Movie Maker do this automatically for me? I tried searching around the
news group, but didn't find any question similar to this.

Many Thanks.

Movie Maker won't capture to separate .avi files... the free WinDV utility
will do it... so will Adobe's Premiere Elements. There's a link to WinDV on
my Setup MM2 in XP > Other Software page.
