saving class object in file

when I program with Java, I'm able to open a file to open a file
stream and an object stream, then save a class object into a file.

I don't see any class in vb.net that is equivalent to object stream in
Java.. Is there a way to do it in vb.net at all?

Here is what I suggest you try. Go to www.google.com and type "object
stream in dotnet" which leads you to some 574,000 items. Among the items
listed you will see references to the term "serialization" so future
searches should include "dotnet serialization".
