i've saved an outlook calendar (v.2000) as a web page, but
i'm getting some odd behaviour. everythings fine for the
year 2004, however, jan. 1, 2005, shows as starting on a
friday, when in fact, the first day of jan./05 is a
saturday. this continues for the entire rest of the
calendar, feb. 1 shows as a monday rather than a tuesday.
however, under the "appointment and event details" it
correctly notes that jan. 1 is a saturday. i'm using
frontpage 2002

Sue-

We'll keep the discussion in the newsgroups so everyone can benefit. What
operating system are you using? Do the dates appear normal in Outlook's
calendar view?

i'm using windows 2000, and yes, the dates appear
correctly in outlook's calendar view

Sue-
I have an MS support case opened on this. The sympoms I
have seem to be identical- calendar fine in Outlook and the
problem appears to only be when you save as a webpage. My
system is XP Pro SP1 and Office 2000 Premium SR3

Here is the current things that Colin at MS wants me to do,
see if this helps you and get back to me please, I have not
done this yet:

Thank you for the reply.

Based on my further research, I think that this issue may
occur in the following situation.

- Incorrect Time Zone settings.

First, let's confirm the calendar configuration on your
computer.

Step One
=======
Are the Time Zone settings correct?

Please check these settings on computers from Control
Panel -> Date and time -> Time Zone and compare them. Make
them the same.

Step Two
========
Please check the Time Zone configure in Outlook.

1. In Outlook 2000, click Menu Tools -> Options.

2. In the Preference tab, click Calendar Options button.

3. Click Time Zone button, Please check Time Zone field is
the same on all computer.

4. Notice if the "Adjust for daylight saving time" option is
checked.

If the issue still persists, please uncheck the "Adjust for
daylight saving time" to see if it helps.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I
am looking forward to your update.

tried deselecting "automatically adjusterfor daylight
savings", didn't work. turning off adjusting for daylight
savings had the added problem of turning spring, summer
and early fall "all-day" appointments into 2-day
appointments.

I haven't had any luck with the 'ideas' thrown at me (&
fwd'd to you). IMHO I didn't think they would affect this
as they would have affected Outlook's view of the calendar
as well. I think it is an issue with the files used in the
conversion. I have forwarded all of this back to 'Collin'.

Latest update-
The support team has been able to recreate the problem
(geez- they should have tried it themselves the first time
around) and it is now considered a bug as opposed to an
operator error. This bug does not exist in 2002 or 2003
versions.
