Saving as PPT 4.0 Format

Maurice

Hi to all,

Can anyone tell me how to save a PPT 2000 / XP Presentation
as PPT 4.0 format. Whenever i try, it creates the file but
it is 0kb, and returns an error that it couldnt save in
that format. I also tried from MSO97 but i get an error
stating that im out of memory.

I search Knowledge Base only to find a solution for Mac
users and the 8-4 translator, no help to me.

BTW, im using MSO2000 or MSO97, 2gb page file, win xp pro
sp2 with 3gb RAM.

kind regards,

Maurice

Maurice,

My guess it that when you are saving to powerpoint 4 format.....powerpoint
is crashing or dying trying!

Pre powerpoint 97 the file format is uncompressed....so saving to a
powerpoint 95 file (or previous) results in huge big massive files.

Are you trying to get a presentation into macromedia director...and that's
why you need the ppt 4 file?

Maurice,

My best advice is to post this question in the macromedia director group.
They're a knowledgeable bunch when they are not powerpoint bashing!
