Hi,

I would like to know if there is anyway I can add code to
my form which makes Access save or archive a viewed
report. Is there a way to save it in MS Access or bring
up a file dialog box to allow users to save the report to
anyu location?

Thanks in advance,

Save a viewed report? In what format? You just want to save a picture of
the report, or the criteria used to request it? Why? If you need to see
the report again, you could simply rerun it.

Give us more details.

Hi,

I guess the main rason for archiving the report would be
that the data in them would change from week to week. So
users are looking for a way to save the report soewhere
once they view it. In PDF format. Because the next
week's report would have different data as a result of a
later date.

Again, It seems like you could rerun it in the future if your report is
based on dates. Of course, there are instances where you can't.

The only way I know to save the report is in RTF (Word) or Excel using the
drop-down at the top of the screen when you are in Print Preview.

To save it as PDF, you would need to download and install a PDF writer. I
use one called CUTEPDF ( I know, silly name). It is free and located at
www.cutepdf.com. You also have to download the conversion program, but the
website will explain all that to you. When completed, you will see a new
printer in your list of printers. If you "print" to it, it will save the
fiel as a PDF.

Hope That Helps,

Rick B
