Saving Appointments in Multiple Calendars

Is there a way to automatically save a new appointment to two different
outlook calendars? For example, when I create an appointment on a public
calendar, I want it to save to my personal calendar as well.

No, except by explicitly doing it, either with File>Copy to Folder while the
event is open or by copying it afterward. There are also third-party tools
that can sync two calendars. Start here:
