Saving and Recovering

I was not paying attention and accidentally saved a useless project over a
very important project. I did a system restore hoping to get the old project
back. But I did not have any luck. Is there any way to recover the old
project.

When you replace file A with file B...
file A is overwritten...gone.

System Restore does not restore
user created files.

The only way I know of to recover an
overwritten file would be with a program
like Norton GoBack. But of course it
would need to be installed before the
overwrite was done.
