I have WMM2, I downloaded XP winter2003 funpack. When I
open the movie maker, import a video and audio clip, then
put it on the time line and add text to it it plays
great. When I go to save it to my computer I get an error
about source locations. Do I have to move the files
somewhere else? any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Scott

Brad, thanks for the tip. You were correct, PapaJohn had
the answer. I found the qasf.dll file was the 6.5 version
vice the 9.0 When I downladed the file from the link
PapaJohn provided it now works great. Thanks for the Help,
Scott

Hi Scott,

I had exactly the same problem.. Sorted now.. Head on
over to
http://www.eicsoftware.com/pictures/PapaJohn/Website-
MM2/MM2-ProblemSolving.html
Papajohn has a section that covers this. Do work through
it slowly and you'll find the answer.

Heres the exact message im getting whenever i try to save a movie either on my computer or write it on cd

"Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again

The problem isn't on the source location because i've learned that after working on hours of the movie, i cant save it. Now am testing only 2 pictures on the storyboard but still, same error occurs

I've already look into Brad's suggestion to look into http://www.eicsoftware.com/pictures/PapaJohn/Website-MM2/MM2-ProblemSolving.html but I cant find the instructions on what I can do

Btw, I have a brand new Pentium 4 2.6Ghz, 512MB, 80G, XP Home.

Please help.. Thanks!

i haven't change anything but after installing Adode Premiere Pro, the movie maker worked. Maybe it is because of the QASF.dll.. My MM2 now is working.. thanks!
