I am trying to save a movie I created on my computer and
also on a cd to share with my family. I supposedly saved
it, yet when I go back to reopen the project, the
pictures I put there are now Xs. If the floppy, which
contains the digital pictures is in the drive, then I
open my project, the pictures will be there. How can I
save on computer and on cd without having to have the
floppy disk in the drive?

Copy the pictures from your floppy to a
folder on your hard drive.

Open Movie Maker. Right-click on
one of the Xs for one of the pictures
in your collection. Select "Browse for
Missing File..."

Now browse to the folder on your hard
drive where you copied the pictures,
and select the picture for the X that
you right-clicked in your collection.

All of the Xs should be replaced with
picture icons, and you won't need the
floppy any more.
