I would like to be able to save a custom slide show (out of a much larger presentation) to a CD or even a floppy. Please tell me how to do this (PowerPoint 2003)
Thanks

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for
without resorting to VBA or add-ins. Instead you would have to extract the
slides in the Custom Show to a new presentation and then use the Package
for CD feature to save the resulting presentation to CD..

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality (without having to resort to
VBA or add-ins), don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS,
please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

Hi Bob,

What is the reason for the custom show?

Are you just using some of the slides from a larger presentation? If this
is the case, you may want to use the 'Save Selection' tool to weed-out the
unused slides and save the remainder as a new file. Look at:
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00548.htm

If on the other hand, you have a custom show because you are reusing some
slides over, then this will not help.

Please post back and let us know if this solves the issue. Thanks.
