I was fooling around and playing around with one of my photos in paintbrush trying to remove little imperfections in the background and accidentaly hit save and now my photo is ruined! I saved it with little stupid cartoons drawn in the back but this picture is the only one around as it was taken on a digital camera and can't be retrieved. ITs a very special picture so if anyone knows how to restore it to the original state I would be FOREVER greatful!

If you edit an image and "Save" it...the new file
overwrites the original. The original is gone.

FWIW...it's always a good idea to make a copy
or your original file before editing. Not only that
but copying all your images to CDs is great
insurance also.

If you "Save As" and give the new file a different
name or save it in a different folder...the original
is left unaltered.

If you had a program like GoBack installed...you
could revert your hard drive to a time before the
edit and the file would be restored...it's like every
thing you did since the time of the restore point
never happened.
