saved game loading error

when i try to load a saved game from sid meiers
civilization3 i get the following:
dataIO operation system error:CITY

then i click on the ok that is in the box w/ this
message and i get the following:
Load Error error reading
file "c:\programs\infogramesinteractive\civilization\saves
\lincoln ofthe americans.sav

does anybody know what dataIO stands for or why this
isnt loading, it always worked normally and i havent
saved it any differently?

Could be corrupted, try running chkdsk. Usually Civ3 saves them in this
format 'Paul of the Russians, 1390 AD.SAV' noticed you didn't have a space
in there. Try punching the location in explorer and making sure the file
does actually exist.

You haven't moved the Civ3 install directory or something? I suppose that
could trip it up too if it works out where it is using the registry.
