SaveAs on picture in browser

Just recently I installed a few programs. Now when I go
into the browser, right click on a picture and do a Save
As... my only choice for a format is .bmp! It used to
default to .jpg. Is there a way I can change this back
or at least allow it to save as a .jpg??? I am using XP
Home Edition.

control panel \internet options \ delete files (also offline content).
Reboot.
