Hi,

I have a video file about 300 Mb. I opened it in WMM (xp sp2) cut the
scenes, and ...

now I want to save it, I dont know what format to choose, BUT I DONT WANT TO
LOOSE ANY QUALITY. Please advise what can I do.

You always lose something.

Save in AVI and it'll be darn close but HUGE.
Save in WMV at 2.1Mbps and it'll be darn close and not so huge.

How about DV?

If you have a DV-AVI as input and you're saving out as DV-AVI (and not
converting from PAL to NTSC or vice versa) then MovieMaker is smart enough
to pass through any frames which haven't had an effect or transition applied
to them without going through a decode/re-encoder so you won't lose any
quality on those.

Except loosing 27th frame of every clip :-)
