Using PPT 2002
I have a file that contains links to Excel and GIF files. I want to send
that out without the links but with pictures of the respective data. How
can I do that?

Thanks
Glen

Hi Glen,
You can cut the object then use PasteSpecial and choose one of the picture
objects - png, gif, jpg,etc.

For the Excel objects you can using Edit Links and choose Break Link.- this
will retain the Excel object but not be linked.

Hope this helps,

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the specific capability that you are looking for
(a single, unified interface for managing linked/embedded content).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide link management for more than just OLE linked objects (without have
to resort to VBA or 3rd party add-ins), don't forget to send your feedback
(in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
