hi, are you referring to the updates in the "Windows
Update" site? if you are, here's what i did to save those
update to disk just in case i needed to install/reinstall
winxp:
1. start windows Update
2. after winupdates loads in IE, click on "Personalize
Windows Update" on the left menu
3. check "Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog
under See Also", then click "save settings" on the upper
right corner.
4. click on "Windows Update catalog" on the left menu
5. click on "Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating
systems"
6. choose your OS, i.e. Window XP SP1
7. click "Search" to get all updates or use "Advanced
Search" and type in the KB or Q number in the box to get
a specific one, since you have a list on what you need
8. when you get to the results (Crit. Updates,
Recommended Updates, etc.) click "add" on the ones you
need
9. go to the download basket, browse for a folder on your
disk, like c:\winupdates or something, then click download
10. after download, each update .exe will be put in it's
own folder, so you have to drill down to a nest of
folders created during the download just to run each
update
good luck, and i hope this helps.

I just recently bought a new computer but have only
recently been able to access the internet. I checked to
see what upgrades I might need. I found that I needed
21.2 mb of data to be up to date. My BIG problem is I
have a really slow connection and it will take hours upon
hours to download all of the upgrades I need to be safe.
Is it possible to download the upgrades, here at work and
then save them to disc so I can just take the disc home
and upgrade at home from the disc? I have a list of the
upgrades I need.
