Is there a method of saving a PowerPoint Presentation so that when opened the
viewer sees the slide show only without the various tools etc.?

Open PowerPoint slideshow automatically

Hi,

3 ways can help you open PowerPoint slideshow automatically.

Method 1. Save your PowerPoint presentation as .pps format.
By clicking File -> Save as or renaming your presentation from name.ppt to name.pps.

Method 2. Pakage your presentation for auto-run CD.
1. From the File menu, select Package for CD (you might need to click on the down arrow at the bottom of the menu to display this option).

2. In the Name the CD box, type the name of your presentation, and click Options.

3. Select the Embedded TrueType fonts check box, and click OK.

4. Click Copy to Folder, click Browse, navigate to the folder that contains the presentation, and click Select.

5. When you return to the Copy to Folder dialog box, click OK, and then click Close to close the Package for CD dialog box.

Method 3. Convert your PowerPoint to Flash. Then present your slide show in Flash player. Article about how to convert PowerPoint to Flash manually.
