Save text from email?

Does any program exist which will allow you to extract & save only the text
portion of an email? In other words, to strip headers, etc. and save message
as text? I need something with batch capabilities--I will be working on
approximately 100 files at a time, and will need to extract the messages and
discard all extraneous information. I can just save each file as text, and
hand-strip those lines, but it seems unneccesarily tedious if I can
automotate the process.

Thanks for your help,

Lynn

You could start with tools->options->read->read all messages in plain text
and then use one of the many utilities that extracts emails from OE
databases.

Yes, I am using DBXtract to extract the emails to my hard drive, but it
doesn't strip the headers. It's a very handy little utility, though. Thanks
for your reply!

They don't have an option for that? Odd...fairly common option for that
type of program.
