save subform data

I have a mostly unbound application and would like to use temporary local
tables for subform data to allow for edits. It's easy enough to load those
tables.

Does anyone have a suggestion or article as to how to save that data back to
the SQL tables? I have Mary Chipman's book (MS Access Developer's Guide to
SQL Server) but don't see where the issue of saving multiple records back to
the database is covered.
