Hi, I'm working on an intranet page that needs to be able to send the
contents of a single text box to a file. I am using FP 2000 and the intranet
pages will just be stored out on our file server. I tried simply inserting a
single text box form from the insert menu, but whenever I click the submit
button it acts like its a dead link, taking me to a "The page cannot be
displayed" page. Whats wrong with this? I don't understand why it isn't
working.

For the Save Results component to work, the forms page has to reside on a Web
server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed. In addition, you
must browse the page using an http:// URL.

This is because the program that processes the form submission and updates
the file is part of the FrontPage Server extensions, and the extensions
require a Web server as their operating environment.
