I am a teacher at a small school which just took advantage
of Microsoft's Fresh Start program. We had someone come
in over the summer to get our lab up and running and he
choose to install Windows 2000 Professional. I work often
with the children in Paint but this version of Windows
doesn't seem to allow the option of saving their projects
as jpeg's. This is critical as the files have to be
stored on floppies to print at another computer. Is there
a work-around for this issue or am I just stuck with what
I have (short of uninstalling 2000 and trying 98
instead)? If possible, please email any responses to me
at (e-mail address removed). Many thanks!!!

Save them as bitmaps to the harddrive but then when putting them to floppy, use Kodak Imaging for Windows to open them (Start |
Programs | Accessories | Imaging) and then save them as jpeg's from that program.

When saving the files in Paint, select SAVE AS and then
select JPEG as the file format in the pull down menu at
the bottom of the SAVE AS box.
