Save no sent-out emails and not send receive when program starts

Microsoft Outlook 2007 on one of the computers wouldn't save sent-out emails
and wouldn't do send and receive when the program starts even though the
settings are all correct. I've thought there might be corruption somewhere
so I am thinking of re-installing the Outlook but I am not too sure if it
would fix it. Is there anything else including the registry that I can check?

I'd try a new mail profile before trying a reinstall.
