I am not very technical so I need an explanation of what to put in the File
Name box in the SAVE AS WEB PAGE dialog box. The help file says to enter the
file protocol and I don't what or where to find that.
I am using Outlook 2003, part of Office 2003 Standard.
I hope it does not have the same problem with days shifting, as I have been
reading about.

I usually just enter the name of local HTM file and let Outlook generate the
base file using that file name and the component HTM files. I then transfer
the files to a web site if needed

Ok, where do i find the local HTM file? Thx, D

Where ever you put it. The name you're entering in the dialog is name of the
file you want created.

the file name that is there automatically is C:\Documentand Settings\Owner\MyDocuments\ When I click save it says "Either the file name or URL you typed is invalid. " I don't know where to save it, therefor what to type in there. Even then I don't know how to put it on my webpage. Thx D

That's only a directory, you need to add a file name like Calendar.HTM so
the full path would be:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Calendar.HTM

Thanks I'm part way there. It did save, but when i tried to save it to my web page it showed as the little square with x. My site wants gif or jpeg so i tried changing the HTM or adding gif of jpeg after the htm. all I get is the box. My site also wants max width 450 px. but the I don't know how big the calendar is. Thx D

Try saving the base HTM to a fresh folder so you can see all the files you
need. There will be some graphic files & such you also need to upload

I opened a new folder on the desktop and then did the "save as webpage". When it opened in WordPad I went file, save as, and put it in the new folder. When I open the folder there is only the one NotePad thing in there, no graphic files. I have been reading in the Microsoft Library: "About the Save as Web Page API [Visio 2003 SDK Documentation]" but it is just way to technical for me. Thanks, Donna

Save as Web Page Clarification

Click File > Save as Web Page
The Calendar Title is not the file name, its the title that will appear at the top of the calendar after you save it. Go ahead and give it a name like I Have A Whole Month To Waste
Click the button that says Browse...
It will take you to a folder called Users Documents or whatever the last place you saved to was.
Assuming you are in Users Documents click the New Folder button (it's a folder with a little shiney star on the top right corner) - make a folder called Calendar
When you click OK the new folder will open up with the calendar automatically named calendar.htm - you can change it if you like.
Click Select, then click Save

I got confused when trying to save because I didn't realise the Calendar Title is not the same as the File Name.
