Save calendar and send as attachement

Is there a way I could save calender on my desktop in calendar format not ini
excel or word format and send as an attachement to other users.
 
In Outlook 2007, yes and very easily.

Since you decided your version was not in play here, than a more comprehensive answer is not possible.
