We have created a list of presentations that are read
only, so users cannot change the originals. However, if
they click save as the browse to the desktop they can save
it then modify. This used to work on XP but we upgraded to
2003 and it no longer allows. Is there any settings on
read only files that don't even allow save as??

In 2003 click on help, and insert Password in the search window. this will show
you how to password protect your presentation a number of ways.

Password protecting a presentation is only available starting with 2002 (XP)
Here are some workarounds for earlier versions.
