Save As (Not Responding)

Hello,

I'm starting to get "not responding" more and more often when I click the
drop down arrow at "Save in:" box. Also, the "not responding" occurs when I
click "Save" to save a file. Sometimes, the file was saved after a brief
period of "not responding".

I'm using Windows XP Professional with Office XP.

Any suggestion is appreciated as I don't want to lose the document that I've
spent sometime writing it. So far, I haven't lost any. However, I'm afraid
the problem will be more serious as it progresses.

Thanks for the very quick response.

The Title Bars don't flash when it becomes "not responding." I have Norton
Anti-Virus 2003 running but never enable the plug-in. (Not sure if this
information would help) I'm also running Internet Explorer for researching
purpose while writing.

I ran across the KB article I was thinking of, and it's an invalid FTP site.

I don't see the message you're responding to, so I assume it is so old that
it's been deleted by my newsreader. In fact, I see that I posted answers on
8/27 (two) and 9/1. They were as follows:
