Hi there,

I'm trying to use the application.filedialog objects to bring up a save as
dialog box, but it turns out the microsoft in their infinite wisdom decided
not to implement this in Access.

Is there a workaround for this? I've tried using other dialog box types but
they won't let you eneter a filename that does not already exist!

What one earth was the reasoning behind this?

The reason i need the save as dialog box is that i want my database to be
able to make a new copy of itself.

Thanks for the help

cheers

Joe

Hi,

The mso reference is not checked, by default, you have to include it (ie, to check it). The
library mso is installed if you have installed Office. If you installed Access as a side product,
without Office, then, it is possible that mso is not on the PC. Probably because of that
possibility, mso is NOT checked, by default, by wisdom. You can use the API directly, as mentioned
by Dan.

Hoping it may help,
