Sorry if I missed this previously but how do I save a PP slide show with
sound files as an HTML file?
Running PowerPoint97 on Windows 98-2E.
TIA,
Darrell

This should get you started.

Put your PowerPoint-generated HTML on the web

Thanks for the speedy reply. However, from that webpage comes this text:

I'm sorry, but I don't seem to be able to find a "save as .htm format"
command. How is this done in PPt97 without having to buy another program?

Save as HTML isn't installed as a default and you may not have installed it.
Pop
your Office 97 or PowerPoint 97 CD in the drive and view it in Windows
Explorer. Find setup.exe and double click it. From the menu select
Add/Remove. On the next menu find Web Page Authoring(HTML) and check it if
it isn't already checked. Click Continue and follow the dialog.

That's correct, but at the bottom of the page was an alternative from the author
Steve Rindsberg an addin called PPT2HTML

Thanks folks. I also found in the linked PPTools FAQ
(http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00241.htm) about loading web authoring
tools from the Office97 disk so I am sure I can solve my issue there. The
PPT2HTML program looks nice, but for $60.00, I'll just install the Office
fix instead. Thanks for your help.
