Save as HTML wizard doesn't run

Running Windows 2000 Terminal Server SP3 with Citrix
MetaFrame XP and users who try to save Powerpoints as HTML
get no response from the HTML wizard. If I put the users
as PowerUsers of the local machine it works just fine.
Does anyone know the what makes up the wizard and what
tweaks need to be done so basic users can save as HTML.
Thanks in advance

Sorry, yes it's PowerPoint 97 coming from Office Pro 97
with SR2 applied. Thank in advance.

Not sure if this will work in your case, but it's worth a try.

Disable the Acrobat PDF Maker thing and see if that resolves it.

Then again, it may be something with the permissions, as I suspect you
suspect. Does the information that the HTML wizard is installed with Web
Authoring tools give you any ideas?

The file location for the *.PPA files that the URL
suggests unfortunately doesn't exist. The only *.PPA
files that I find on this server are in the Microsoft
Office folder. I'm not sure what you mean by the
comment "Does the information that the HTML wizard is
installed with Web Authoring tools give you any ideas?"
Can you give me more details on this please?

The first few paragraphs in this same FAQ explain this. Web Authoring Tools
are not installed by default, and if they're not installed, the Save As HTML
option in PPT is grayed out. Speaking of which ... is it grayed out on your
File menu or does it appear normal but just not DO anything when you click
it?

I can't save as HTML from PowerPoint 97

The save as HTML was grayed out because I forgot to
install the Web Authoring Tools, after installing them the
button was no longer grayed out but when selecting it as a
basic user, it produces no response or error message
either. If I try the same thing using a local admin
account the Save As HTML works just fine which tells me
everything is installed properly. Many thanks in advance
for responding.

I know this is a pain to try, but do they get the ability to use the HTML
tools if you install them while logged in as a non-admin user?

Here's a better idea; download the Office Accessibility Wizard at:
cita.rehab.uiuc.edu/software/office/overview.html and it will create an
accessible version of HTML.

As for the power users issue, it depends on the security settings
you've chosen for "non" power users. You might want to ask on the
Windows NewsGroup because it's a Windows Security Setting issue as
opposed to a PowerPoint issue.

Glenna
