"save as" drop down menu

all i have in the drop down menu now is "bmp's" it use to
contain "jpg's" and other ext

what happened?

how do i add to it?

What drop down menu? What "save as" menu? In what program? I have about
15 different programs open right now that have drop down menus and "save as"
menu options.
