When entering a new appointment/event in Outlook calendar, I used to be able
to save it and close it with a one-click "Save and Close" command. I can't
seem to find it anymore, and now have to click "Save" and then click "Close".
Did Microsoft eliminate that user-friemdly command?

What version of Outlook are you talking about? Always provide enough
information so people can answer your questions.

Save and Close is there in every version of Outlook I'm familiar with,
including Outlook 2007.

It's Outlook 2003 SP2. Is there an option somewhere that turns such commands on and off? I tried Options Customize, and cannot find that Save and Close command.

It's on the Standard toolbar in an open appointment item.

In customize you can use Reset on the toolbars to get back to the defaults
if the toolbar has been customized.
